A highly intimate and personal experience is provided for the visitor.
A single Iine in the landscape traverses the rear of the site creating a new horizon line of white and black when arriving by ferry this also linking to island architecture.
Views across the pierhead are maintained from the existing houses
Direct access from the marshalling area is provided for the disabled.
A belvedere from the highest point on the site looks across Gott Bay providing an introduction to Tiree for arriving visitors or a memory for the departing.
For the audience, an experiential journey through the piece intensifies, focuses and abstracts aspects unique to the island.
